Methotrexate and constipation

Just enquiring if anyone has suffered constipation when starting Methotrexate?, thanks.

    No don't think it is the mTX, but could be a combination of the MTX and painkillers, they are seriously implicated in constipation.  Try some extra orange juice, works wonders for me, so much so dangerous.

    Other than that try prune juice again dangerous side effects so only try a small amount, and then up the doseage but slowly.

    These toxins we take all have side effects, not everyone suffers the same ones and not all appear on the side effects list.   Best cure for meds induced constipation is to drink lots of water.   Normally, you should drink at least two litres of water per day, this doesn't include coffee, tea, soft drinks, milk etc, two litres of plain water.   If you have never been a water drinker, like me, it' will grow on you and become easy after a week or so.   Leave glasses of water around the house, every time you pass one have a drink.   Try and drink the majority before 4 or 5 o'clock - beats getting up in the middle of the night.   It also makes it easier for the pathologist to extract blood.

      Ended up in AE and I'm putting it down to methotrexate, cramping , spasms feeling sick and faint, I have IBS but nothing as bad this before, crazy constipation, and joints worse than before.

    i am on methotreaxte once weekly and i seem to have that issue myself . i also beleive it has to do with my blood presure med at well
