My labs are normal again

A while ago I posted about being over range on Free T3. Well thats returned to normal. My recent thyroid labs are-

T3 136 ng/dl    ref 70-181

T4 7.70 µg/dl   ref 4.5-12.6

TSH 1.76 µIU/ml 0.35-5.50

My physician told me my thyroid was functioning fine.

I wonder what caused the free t3 to increase out of range? Can severe stress increase free T3 levels?

All in all very relieved I thought this was beginning of graves or autoimmune something.

Stress definitely affects thyroid values.  As a matter of fact, a lot of thyroid autoimmune diseases are triggered by stress.  I know it was in my case.

Do you need to have a genetic vulnerability or can pure stress alone  cause thyroid didorders?

I didn't have a genetic vulnerability and I got Graves disease.  Not everyone believes it is genetic.  I read recently that there are other causes for autoimmune diseases.
