New dressings

Ok, so when my stitches were removed on Tuesday, my Dr only wanted light dressing on! So I have two light dressings in both feet, mainly covering the scar on side and top of big toes! He never said how long these remain on for and I forgot to ask! They are starting to un stick already. What dressings were you given at stitch removal if any? These will not last for another 4 weeks when pin will be removed. Advice appreciated thanks everyone x

    Hi there, I had dressings on for a week after stitch removal. I think it was just to cover until any bleeding had stopped. No bandages or anything after that...

      Thank you, that's what I thought. No bleeding, so I'm thinking I may remolve them to get fresh air? X

    Hi Rae, my dressings stayed on for about a week afterwards. Once there is no more bleeding, I was just asked to place micropore tape over the incisions (to cover and protect them)

    I  was the same infact, I only kept a dressing on for a day it then fell off so left it to the open air. But with a pin maybe you need to be more careful
