numbing in the bottom of foot, normal?

I had my second shot of cortisone yesterday and the DR used lidocain or some other numbing medication to inject the steroid.  By the time I left the office, my whole foot was numb and felt like after you receive novacaine at the dentist.  Even after 12 hours it was still numb.  Finally after sleeping all night, I can feel sensation in my feel.

I have not had injections. I was at that point, learned on forum about exercise to stand on toes with heel hanging off step. I began doing this for about a week and it made a huge difference! I also began using essential oils that helped with pain. I am almost pain free now!!! It has been 5 and a half months of hobbling around, buying several pairs of new shoes, trying everything I heard about. Hope the injection helps you!

A friend of mine who sells them sent me 2 roll-on bottles of some she had mixed for me. I have not been able to get up with her to find out how to mix them myself. I know one bottle has lavender, lemon, and peppermint, but I do not know how much of each or if they are mixed with a carrier oil. If I find out I will post. Sorry I can't be more help!
