I suffer from aniexty and every time I go to a doctor they tell me Im fine. I have had everything checked. Now Im 26 with no insurance. My left boob and armpit has been bugging me for about 3 weeks. Its more of a bother than pain and very uncomfortable. No lumps. No discharge. No change in color. Just sore and sometimes painful. A pain of 3 on a scale of 10. No, not pregnant. Could it be breast cancer?

It's anxiety I'm sure karts especially if the dr has said your fine. Try deep breathing excercises to help with the anxiety. I have the same health anxieties (although I'm male). I have good days and bad days and am taking an antidepressant but I do feel a little worse as its early days. I find the breathing excercises help.

Hi Alan
This is another good read for pain. Anxiety can cause pressure in the breast area for women. The hyper breathing causes the pain in the chest area. In many cases it goes away after a few days.but the arm pit throw me a bit. This includes the armpit and breast area which could be a strained muscle or tendon. I have experienced many times.
We all try to to give our best advice thru experience. I am not a dr just read your post and your post could be part of the pain too.
Absolutely anti depressants can help calm the symptoms as if the pain is caused from stress especially In today's world of fast pace in and out dr services. Its been my experience that Drs can miss something.
Good call.

If u live in the UK then ask for a DR appt. I see you mentioned u have no ins. So I assume ur in the US.
Usually Breasts do not hurt if cancer is present. U may find a small lump if so go to dr immediately. That is why it is so deadly most experience no pain. By the time you feel sick it could spread to other organs. An cancer cells spread differently depending on the type. It is in the cells of our bodies and therefore difficult to detect only thru special exams and equipment or blood tests.
occasionally I get pains from rib or muscle in that area. Lifting pushing pulling bending something causes a pulled muscle and causes that area of my breast to be painful for a few days to a week.
If it does not get better go see a dr to put ur mind at ease. Worrying will only make you feel helpless. Do what you can for the pain. OTC anti inflammatory meds, topical treatment to treat the pain or a soak in Epsom salts, or one of my fav treatments is lavender oil rubs with anti inflammatory creams.
never take our health for granted remember to find a free clinic in ur area that will take those with little to no insurance and non profit hospitals.
Even some docs will cut their fees, you have a regular dr?
Really hope that you can come to some sort of a way to help settle this issue soon.
Hope your better tomorrow. Keep me posted. Take care.

I've been having pain in my left side of my chest aswell.. Right side or top of my chest. If the doctors checked you out your fine. That pain is from your muscles from stress and tension/ anxiety. It's not your heart or cancer. The doctors wouldn't risk something as serious as that.
Theirs a couple things that helps me..
-Google stretches to stretch your chest muscles to relieve the muscle tension / cramps / spasms that is causing the pain.
-Get a back massage because sometimes that relieves that chest muscles. Get a back massage machine. They help.
- and just breathing exercises for anxiety and stress. Check out youtube. Also PMR progressive muscle relaxation is the best for preventing anxiety
-Magnesium supplement helps with chest pain and palpitations from anxiety because it helps relax the nerves and muscles and heart function
-Exercise and diet is the best thing to burn stress.. And kill anxiety but if all this doesn't help. Just get on anxiety medication untill your body resets and get off slowly. I had to do that in the past because my anxiety was probably the worst of the worst symptoms you could get. Good luck jaryn

If they checked you out, and said your fine, then phyically you probably are. Now if you live in the good ole USA, you can get Obama insurance, or free insurance if you don't work. I am wondering why your doctor did not perscribe a med for your anxiety. I'm thinking you should be talking about that.
