Overheating

There is a strong possibility I have Lupus and saw the Rheumatologist recently so I'm awaiting some blood test results and results of some X-rays. Recently I've been excessively overheating. It's as if there is a furnace inside of my body and I am burning on the outside. I feel the excessive heat on my trunk, face, arms and legs. I then eventually cool down. It happens in bed or at anytime during the day. Is this a symptom of Lupus? Just to add I had a Cortisone injection in my shoulder this week.

    Hello,

I have been diagnosed with Discoid Lupus (Lupus of the skin) about 9 months ago.  I am currently taking Plaquenil and Prednisone.  I too am experiencing the "Excessive Overheating"; especially at night when I go to sleep.  It wakes me out of my sleep at night.  Sometimes I get it during the day at work.  At first I thought it was a part of me going through Pre-menopause until I read your story and the others replies.

We just have stay strong and try to deal with these symptoms for now.

Have any of y'all had any implants? I have serious overheating, itchiness, hives, and more and I'm wondering if it's connected to my dental implant. I've seen so many docs including a rheumatologist and they say my bloodwork is ok.

So sorry to hear about ur conditionssad. If you have any thoughts I'd love to hear them. Praying.
