Pain on my fingers

Posted , 5 users are following.

So about three days ago, I started to experience a lot of pain in my left hand specifically my middle and index finger. My hand usually doesn't hurt in the mornings or afternoons, but once I start thinking about it and start clenching my hand, it starts hurting a lot. I really don't know what it is, can somebody help me determine what it could be? Carpal Tunnel? Peripheral Neuropathy? Early signs of Arthritis? Tendinitis? Lack of exercising? My anxiety (which I've had for a few years now).

I'm 18 year old male, 5'9 152 pounds.

At your age it's most likely nothing to worry about, you could have simply hurt it.

is it swollen? What job do you do, could be from what you are doing. With arthritis the pain is there all the time or in my case not at all and the joint was still destroyed.

    Hi

Could be an injury. Could be arthritis setting in FOLLOWING an injury. Hard to say.

Are you feeling pain and stiffness throughout your body?

Our neighbor, age 17, plays lacrosse, goes to the gym, etc. BUT has felt increasing pain ALL OVER his body. He was just diagnosed with OSTEOARTHRITIS. It can happen at any age apparently.

Usually MOVING the joint hurts at first but lessens after awhile. My index fingers and thumb joints will ache and stiffen every once in awhile, but then the pain goes away after a few minutes.

Your doctor can refer you to a hand specialist if this persists. In the meantime, try Ibuprofen. It lessens swelling which often causes the stiffness and pain.

Let us know what you find out, OK?

Relax and go get it checked out. It will help you feel better.
