Hi Jill. Is it a umbilical hernia? I went to see the doctor about mine. She said that as long as it's not painful and my Bowels are working then that is ok.

Hi Jill just read your post again and you need to see your doctor ASAP like the others said as the pain and sickness is a problem.

\you must go to your doctor, you are not bothering your doctor you are ill and need help. Hope you find out what it is and get the help or reassurance that you need.

Have you been to the doctor yet Jill? You can get bowel obstruction, volvulus, which is very serious and can be fatal. I have had one and required emergency surgery. Symptoms of an obstruction are abdominal pain and nausea and vomiting, Please see a doctor asap.

Any suggestions adele i have a small and large intestine volvulus thats reoccuring

Went to 2 surgeons for repair but they will only do it on emergency.

What can i do to avoid my volvulus reoccuring for 10 years no rhyme or reason

Hello, that sounds scary to live with and I am surprised they will not operate because an emergency situation is very dangerous, even life threatening. I have heard of a surgical procedure called decompressive colonoscopy, which may help prevent recurrence. I would get another opinion if I was you. I was living with a mobile cecum I did not know about which did a 720 degree twist and became ischemic, I could have died without the emergency hemicolectomy/laparotomy, which has led to more health problems. Best of luck.

I have had chronic cyclical vomiting for over 10 years

      No wxplanation

And then they caught it on a cat scan during a episode

For me thats my explanation for my vomiting because usually its only bile and it doesnt stop with out going to the ER for IV DRUGS

The doctors say it could be why and maybe its not

There is no other reason for it

Due to other medical conditions with my lungs they are afraid of infection and because i have lived with this for so long they would rather not operate

I have had 2 opinions i could find a doctor to do it but now i know as soon as i am sick to go to the ER

I used to try and wait it out at home after the 3rd day i usually give in

I am hoping someone out there has some tips to help not having the volvulus reoccur such as food exercises etc

If you have any or anyone else out there.......

      I truly suffer with this

Its extremely painful and the last time it strained my heart
