Hi all

Huge anxiety sufferer here! Ive been having bowel issues for about 3 weeks now, alternating movements but for the last 3 days the movements are narrower and slushy!

Im 35 female and worry i have colon cancer. Ive weighed myself today and lost 4lbs within 2 weeks and not trying! Im very very scared can anyone out there shed some advice? My GP did a stool test 2 weeks ago and it came back normal, but my symptoms persist!

Can anyone shed some advice? Wont sleep tonight knowing this weight loss and bowel issues are a sure sign of the dreaded C disease!!

Thanks

Hey im new here but i feel your pain. I am 56 and i have lost 60lbs in 2yrs which means when i weighed myself today i weighed 100 lbs...not enough for me. However have you been to see your doctor? I love my practioner and he is working with me on this loss! I seem to have lost interest in food and have to force myself to eat every day. Your diet for sure will mess with your bowels. I suggest that if you really are worried about having colon cancer that your doctor set you up with a specialist for a colonoscopy and that will rule out your worries. I have had every test and they all come back negative. I feel mine is stress related as i have been taking care of my parents that were ill and now passed and a daughter that has been fighting drug addiction and in and out of jail for the past 6 years....i hope to come back here often to help resolve my problem..nice to meet you kay...

      Hi there

      Thanks for replying

Its ruining my life this is. Constant worry and just feeling that something is seriously wrong. I went to the Gastro specialist yesterday and we decided to do a colonoscopy, he said its unlikely at my age to have colon cancer but its not unheard of, thats when panic stuck even more. Im so scared they find a tumor and then my life is over. I dont know what to do anymore i really dont, im in a very bad and dark place. Cant concentrate on anything, affecting my home life and im so depressed and anxious.

Im so glad that you had your colonoscopy to relieve your mind from that. I cant believe its this early in the morning but i don't sleep well anymore. So you did get your results? I just felt really bad for you because you pretty much thought you had colon cancer..keeo in touch and let me know how everything turns out.

No i havent had the colonsocopy yet, thats next week. This is so horrible. Im convinced ive lost more weight also. I used to consume about 2500 calories a fay and now its like 900 do u think that can be the cause of weight loss. My stomach is nervous all the time, burning too. I had a gastrocopy about 6 weeks ago and that was normal but then these symptoms started. Ive had a chest xray and camera down my throat beginning of this year as convinced i had throat cancer and lung cancer but i had no weight loss.
