Really worried - do I have a UTI?

Hello

I am a huge worrier when it comes to things like this, I suffered with anxiety for years but am generally a lot better now.

Earlier tonight I noticed I had a slight burning sensation when I peed, didn't think anything of it and attended an exercise class for an hour then returned home. I had a pressure, painful type feeling down below, almost a burning feeling. I had a bath and since don't feel like I can leave the toilet as I feel constantly desperate for the toilet and have a horrible burning, stinging sensation when peeing. When i try to pee hardly anything comes out rolleyes

I am so worried sad.. Going to go to GP in the morning. I haven't had a water infection for years since I was a kid!

    Definitely a UTI! You have all the symptoms that I suffer with often. Drinks LOTS of water to flush it out & put a heat pack on your lower stomach. Hope you feel better soon!

      Thank you! It's horrible it's happened now when i need to sleep!!

      I am bleeding very very slightly too I think sad it's horrible!

      Doctors surgery first thing in the morning! I know the feeling well, and yes it's awful! Drinks heaps and heaps of water & try to sleep

      Yeah I am going to the doctors first thing!

      Is bleeding also a symptom? Very very small amount.

    hello!

    I'm the exact same, I have hypochondria so when I got my first UTI I was the exact same. Your symptoms are all those of a UTI and they usually start of being a small pain when urinating and then they come on full and hurt like mad! & make you constantly need the toilet, yet no urine comes out and it burns like crazy. bleeding is also a symptom of it, it's a more severe symptom, so id make sure you bring it up with your GP as they'll give you antibiotics to help clear it up! Usually the antibiotics start working the day you take them for me the pain goes 2 days after I take them, so won't be long till you're back without the horrible pain smile hope everything goes well tomorrow!

      Hello thank you for your reply!

      It's strange as I have woken up this morning with no pain, went to the toilet and had no burning feeling at all! Odd!!? I'm going to see how I get on today and go to the doctors this afternoon if I get any more pain. smile
