Has anyone been prescribed scheriproct? Is it good? I have been referred to a specialist in case it doesn't work. I have high hopes, wondered if anyone had any experience with it (its the ointment)

I have used it, and it helped by reducing the pain during my stools. But it's only a temporary use. Depending how bad the fissure is, it will only reduce the pain for awhile. Hope out world for you. It did for me on occasion. But eventually I need surgery. Good luck to you!

Another thing I remember when taking Scheriproct was that its a strong medication cream and you will fill Tired from it. I had surgery 11-months ago and I am much better now. Fissure is gone. So good luck on whatever you decide.

You had surgery 11 months ago ? How long did it take for you to feel better following the surgery ? I just had the sphincterotomy done on December 30. Thank you

Dm5, after my surgery it took e to 4 months for fissure to heal from the initial pain. And since then, Its hard for me to pass stools sometimes. I really have to push Alot. But there is no more pain. I feel much better.. because fissure is gone. But sometimes i have normal discomfort after a bowl movement due to having to push so much. Doctor said this is normal after this surgery. It sucks having to go through this. But I rather be slight constipated then have the pain of a fissure again. So you should be feeling much better give or take a couple months.
