SEEN HEMATOLOGIST AT LAST

Although it has taken 7 months to finally see some one regarding my DVT i am still none the wiser !!!! Blood tests done and she wants me to have CTscan asap & mammograms done if only to rule out certain cancers before doing any further investigations. Even with the family history of Blood Clots i am now the 5th generation to suffer with it..... see her again on 8th September until then remain on warfarin attend clinic regularly to keep an eye on my INR score. So until these tests are done and i get the results its as normal.

    Thanks for the update Michelle, I guess these things take a along time.  I have just had my first visit to the hematologist a year after my discharge from Stoke Mandeville.  Good luck and keep us up to date with how you are going.

    Hi guys sorry i have not been on here for a while life been pretty pants for me since last up date..... Well had my CT Scan and finally get to see a new consultant tomorrow Dr. Vivienne Andrews to discus the results of the scan also had mammograms done too bit of a scare there too as they showed lump on left breast so ultra sound done and they took tissue sample to which I got a letter on Friday to inform me that it was only a fibrocystic cyst which is nothing to serious and therfore they discharged me and said to have regular checks in future every 3 years......

    I am still suffering with excessive swelling to the left leg whenever i am on my feet for any length of time and as usual it can take upto a week to reduce it again. This is by far the most depressing part of having DVT. SO LETS HOPE THAT THIS SPECIALIST CAN GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS PROBLEM FOR ME....

    Its 9 months exactly tomorrow since all this started and it feels like forever

    Worst thing is not knowing why its started or reasons for the swelling i suffer with.Quiet frankly the hospital have caused me to have more unknown answers than before its like an emotional merry-go-round  which just refuses to stop and let me off

    I will up date again once i see the specialist tomorrow morning 12/09/2016
