Severe abdominal pain and vomiting blood!!!!!

I am a 19 year old male living in Roswell NM. I've had major pains in the lower right quadrant of my abdomen. I am vomiting blood on a regular basis and the hospital told me that nothing is wrong!! I can't hold food down and I can only drink small amounts of water. I may not be a doctor but I know this is very serious. The pain had been occurring for 4 weeks and is getting worse. I can't work, and my social life is suffering too. It feels like my gut is being crushed. I've gone to the ER 7 time and they tell me that nothing is wrong and they send me home. I am in so much pain that I can't sleep, and I've woken up my family many times by screaming in agony. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I am begging for some help, I don't know what could be wrong, the pain is very intense and is constant and getting worse.

    I would say you need to go to a GI Specialist

      I was told that I need a referral to even get an appointment with a gi specialist. Do you have any idea of what could be wrong?

      I'm no doctor, sorry. But something is obviously going on. Call your primary care Dr 1st thing in the morning and tell them that you need an urgent referral to a GI specialist.

      the ER staff should have told you that

      Why would the ER tell me that nothing is wrong when there obviously is something major is occurring

      I have no idea - vomiting blood with severe abdominal pains. I am having stomach issues as well - i was perfectly healthy until 6 weeks ago and broke my leg and needed surgery - been sick to my stomach and bad D. Landed on the ER, they took a bunch of blood work that came back normal sent me home just as sick and told me I had to eat - my body will snap back. I went to my primary doc who sent an urgent referral to a GI specialist who jumped on it. I am waiting for some test results, but he gave me meds and I am improving. But I don't have severe pain nor bleeding - you need to get that checked out.

      I've tried many times, and I can't afford to keep going to the hospital twice a week

      Sorry I couldn't help you more - I've been looking for answers on my issues as well. Lots of thoughts and prayers which are wonderful, but no real solutions

    OMG Anthony your right this is just so not right, how can they send you home when your in so much pain,vomiting blood and cant keep much down!  Sorry but its up to your own gp to refer you hear, why on earth hasnt he/she. This si really awfull and negligence hear severely. Hope  you manage to get to see the right consultant and the right treatment and very soon. Do let us know how things go.

    you need a c.t. scan,an exray,an endoscopy,a colonoscopy,a ultrasound,and most of all a nasic gastric tube put through your nose and down you throat into your stomach,so they can pull the contents out of your stomach,incluseing the blood,and test it to see if its really blood,if it is you may have an ulcer,i know this because i have the same thang,your gonna need a complete blood count test (cbc) also,they will have to feed you through these tubes if you cant eat and keep throwing up,and put an i.v. in your arm to give you fluids to keep you from being dehydrated,go to the hospital,if they dont helped you ,just pray to God and Jesus!!!The hospital did nothing to help me,only Jesus Helped me,and im getting through it,just expect the hospital to do these same things if you go to the hospital,oh yeah and antibiotics !!!Goodluck!!

    l really dont understand how and er can tell you its normal to be vomiting blood on a regular basis, and having intense pain with it, is it what they call new blood, bright red, or old brown, is it spotting or bigger amounts, either way its nor normal and needs scopes doing, l dont know how the system works in usa, or how much its costs for er,when you dont even get diagnosis or referral, is it same er each time you go, is it possible to go to a different one, sometimes same place can put something on file and it becomes set in stone for everyone thereafter

    Next time you vomit blood can you go with  sample to confirm to them  how bad it is.  It could by many things, but you need the er or gi to scope for diagnoses. Hope you get help soon.

    hi Anthony I had the same Symptoms,for a month,i just took Pepto Bismal Max,and it reduced the swelling in my stomach,and i took a big ol sluggy crap!!try pepto bismal it cant hurt it can only help !!

    You May have appendicitis,,if its on the right side,try pepto bismal first,if that dont work ,go to a differnt hospital,

      I'm allergic to aspirin and my doc told me not to take Pepto bismal but I appreciate the advice 😊
