Severe Eye Strain and discomforting sight to others

Hello,

I have been experiencing strained pains in my eyes as a result of serious eye squinting during the day and difficulty in rotation. I went for check up and the doctor told me I have astigmatism and gave me drugs and glasses to use for six months. It's the seventh month now and the strained pains has increased to both day and night and I have noticed the shape of my eye balls are gradually changing causing heaviness and more severe pain in my right eye and difficulty in rotation. Moreso, people run away from me because of my bad eye sight. Please what do I do?

Have you googled thyroid eye disease, Sjogrens syndrome or any auto immune diseases of the eye.

Obviously you must report all this to your eye dr. Most are not conversant with thyroid eye disease but you may like to enquire about having antibody tests done.

Certain conditions need to be ruled out.

Hi Kelbroh: My recomendation for you is to see an Ophthalmology for your eyes and as soon as possible or go to hospital it could be a problem and need to be solved. also do second opinion from another specialist for your eyes before taken any actions.or using any medications. do not worry about people what they are thinking some times people are funny the way they act. Please let me know after going to the doctor and his advice? My prayer are with you.
