    Hi jill73277

What was xrayed?.....I have the same pain and had an xray turned out i gave degenerstion of the lumbosacral region.....and this is causing the pain on my left groin, hip and lower back. I keeps me awake at night and hurts if I sit in a certain position for a while due to the sitting position putting extra strain on the lumbosacral discs....i am not having any particular treatment just taking painkillers...hope this helps..best wishes...

Morning Jill;  I "feel" that it, too, maybe related to Fibro, as I have felt these "electric shock" type pains as well.   I know that it gets to a stage where everything we feel, we put down to Fibro, but after awhile, it just becomes the norm.  I can't say my electric shock pain is in same area, but feel it in my legs, and it feels like it is actually going right through to the bones.  Is very hard to take when "it hits", but then subsides.

?If the pain is "shooting down one leg", it maybe? a pinched nerve from your lumbo-saccral area:  but this should easily be picked up by a GP, as it is a common problem, known as Sciatica.

?You say it is also in your groin:  do you reognize if it is following any certain activities/time of the month, etc?  Am only going down this track, in case it is more to do with ovaries/gynae issues?????

?Perhaps if you keep a recored/note when the pain comes, and if related to an activity/time, then have it checked out more thoroughly; otherwise, I agree that it maybe another symptom of our horrible Fibro.
