Shortness of Breath

Anyone ever had something like the following.

Started with tight chest and feeling of someone sat on mE and would get short of breath from climbing stairs or playing with my daughter. When I try and carry her to bed I have to sit down on the floor as I get that dizzy, short of breath and chest pain I feel as tho I'm going to pass out.

Had every test going to check my ticker (I'm 34 by the way and ex army so not over weight) all heart tests have been clear.

Went for a lung fiction test and was told my lungs are under performing.

So I can run around on a flat surface fine but if I climb more than 10 steps I get crap and it takes me 5 mins to recover. This is gradually getting worse as the weeks go by.

Currently awaiting a CT scan of my lungs but doc says it's possible that I used to be very fit when I was in the army and now I'm not ultra fit my lungs are struggling.

To me that sounds like a croc of sh*te. Not being able to climb stairs or pick my daughter is not down to a lack of not being ultra fit......

Anyone ever had anything similar????

Charlene very sorry to hear of your test results. Mr Hope has coronary heart disease stents, COPD. Do you have swollen feet? It's so hard to watch him suffer we have been together for 40 years. He's still my handsome caring loving guy. He will swim across shark infested waters to get me a glass of lemonade and vice versa.

Keep me posted on the results due the 29

peace & Heeling thoughts sent your way.

My feet only swell when I'm on them alot! It's weird....MY heart flutters n then all of sudden it will jus start beating so fast, faster,n then jus for a second IT takes my breath! Does anyone know what Cornary Artery disease is? And what happens when you have it? ALONG W COPD STAGE 2?

Swelling feet should be discussed with your dr could be heart related. Usually when you walk it keeps fluid circulating. Mr Hope takes water pills to help his feet.

Heart fluttering also could be a number of things from blocked artery to anxiety attack.

I hate guessing just experience with Mr Hope.

Contine to to see your doctor, he knows your history and can help get you feeling better.

Best to see your doctor special test will help and the right meds can to.

      Keep eps me posted.

Easier said than done- but try not to stress because it will intensify the symptoms. I've been dealing with a respiratory issue which also includes shortness of breath and chest pain (we've been trying to figure it out in another thread, hence why I received your updated post). If I were you I'd go get a second opinion ASAP. I am in a military family- I know the VA can be a little screwy sometimes and that diagnosis is enough to make anyone anxious. Praying for you Charlene!

Mr. Hope Had stents put in three arteries the instrument is inserted in large artery in the theigh which will clean the arteries & at the same time small stents are placed in the arteries. Simple proceedure in and out the same day.  Medication is given to prevent classification continually, exercise and a clean diet is recommended.

Well. 100 % demand to see a lung specialist. GP knows little. it's a very nasty virus around at the moment. I've been like that for good 4 weeks. Waiting for my x ray now. Just 2 days ago started feel better but also a pain all over my back, not bad now. Still throat is not good and ears.

    Keep upgrading and good luck!
