Side effects?

Has anyone had heart palpitations on citalopram I've been waking up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding is this a side effect that will go away? I'm on 10 mg for the last three weeks

    Hi Megan yes I've had heart palpitation not very bad but everyone is different if your worried mention it to your doctor. At first I used to wake up with panic in the night but. It my sleeps quite good. Good luck

    you mean like that your heart so fast

    yeah i think i had this before

    but not all night

    but it goes away after 12 weeks

    i was on 20 mg

    but everyone is different of course

    i think u need to increase your dose

    10 mg is to low i think

    Hi Megan, Personally no I didnt, however have heard of this happening to others yet if really concerned check with your GP wink
