Hi everyone.  I have not been on for a  long while. My sister passed in November, and I was taking care of her.   She had CKD, stage 3, but she passed from respiratory failure, and pneumonia.   SHe was 81, but a young 81.  So I will try to check in on all of you.   I miss her so much.

    Neffie,

I understand your grief for your beloved sister. Caring for her as you did  must have brought you very close.  I'm sure that she will have appreciated the care you gave her and simply knowing that you were there will have made her last years easier. I too lost a sister from another cruel illness some years ago.  I still miss her every day but am also able to appreciate that she lived every day of her life, even when she knew that it would be shortened, with hope and love.  I do hope that you have someone who will be able to offer you support. I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is the hardest in the world. Just know you are not alone and try to think of the good memories you had with her. Losing my mother recently from cancer and my husband diagnosed with ckd last year reminds me everyday that life is precious and to never give up. My prayers are with you
