Hi everyone just need some advice from other sle patients, I've suffered with sle for nearly 7 years although I do get swelling and pain in my joints it's seems to have affected my organs more than anything else so I've really experienced a proper lupus flare twice. I haven't been able to see my consaultant for nearly a year I'm due to see him in February, for nearly 6 weeks now I've had this horrendous pain behind my knee and in my ankle in my other foot worst at night and just about bare any weight on either leg, my gp will only prescribe pain killers that I'm taking but seems to not be much help my latest blood tests show my lymphocytes levels are quite low could this be a lupus flare?? Any body else experienced pain like this and how did u manage?

      Hi,

If you have access to a Nurse Specialist in Rheumatology it would be advisable to contact them, they can liaise with your GP and suggest treatment options, some are also nurse prescribers so may be able to prescribe the best medication for your current pain.

      Best of luck.
