Soreness in my bowel

Last year i had a terrible time, was in hopsital for over 4 weeks. Eventually they diagnosed i had inflammation & swelling at the top of my rectum but more in my sigmoid colon, the pain was 24/7 & horrific. I had a mental breakdown through this and since then have had nothing but problems. I keep getting soreness like having a sore throat in my bum(at the top & higher) they give me antibiotics & steroid supposotories as they seem to make it go but i am only going 2/3 weeks symptom free. I am really low due to this as i cannot find anyone who has had similar pains. All test/scans etc show no issues but i know my pain is real. Any support will be great just someone to talk to but hopefullu someone with similar symptoms who can maybe tell me what it is, other than this i am an healthy 51 year old lady.

    Debbie ,I suffer from Pudental Neuralgia entrapment ,go look that up ,see if that rings a bell .I have your Prob ,but this is what mine turned out to be .

       Have you got a Gluten allergy etc ? Again my issue .Ive just had private bloods done for food allergies ,as this is uncomfortable ,like pressure there ,worse after a BM ,Go look up PNE ,I had to do my own homework drs never helped me ,no matter how many times I told them my symptoms .

      Hi Marlene. Thank you so much for replying I don't feel quite so alone. My pain is kind if up my bum but right at he top and round the bend,really sore,burning. I will research it had a quick look. Where is your pain. I am so desperately low from this. I just hope I can find relief soon or it go away for good

      Hi Debbie ,mine in same area as yourself ,had this now for over 9 yrs ,it's only been in past few months for certain yes this is what's wrong ,few years ago ,an article described this Phudental pain / ache ,showed Dr article as to what I've been describing for so long ,nothing was done ,so it's been left for me to talk to others on a site for it ,the info I got from them  on how much they know I've got a heating pad  plus a lady on site Im on made me a special cushion ,to ease pressure .have a read let me know what you think ,I can PM you the site Im on. Then ask the ladies ,see what they think .Miserable condition it is ,but not many drs are aware of it .

      Hi Markene. I spoke with my GP & he thinks that I gave nerve problems & gave me some different tablets  used fur epileptics but apparently good for nerve pain. At the minute I have had a lot if pain really high up like I have hot sand inside, do you have pain like this. I was hoping these pills would help but I only take one at night as they make you drowsy

      Hi Debbie ,mine is more ache if anything ,hard to get comfy ,give meds a try ,if don't help go back and ask to get put onto a specialist ,did Dr suggest Physio ? don't do Kegels ,they say that's not good on site Im on for that area .What meds has Dr given you ? Mine is from pressure Debbie .and there all the time  except when I'm in bed laying flat .

      Yes seeing a specialist since last year. I will give these tablets a go hopefully will help a lot.
