Sound familiar? please help!

I've got my colonoscopy in a week, I had bleeding when I went the toilet once about 3 months ago, this was at the same time with some lower right abdo pain (I don't know what came first because I get physical symptoms of anxiety very easily).

I've had an ultra sound to rule out appendicitis and bloods which were normal but I had a slightly elevated reading which I googled and that can mean cancer.

I don't feel well in myself, dizzy etc. V worried!

This happened again a few weeks ago but again only once. It's quite a bit, in the bowl and on the tissue (looks like a nosebleed), bright red. No pain when passing no straining, no known IBS or food intolerances and the still is always smooth on once side or both.

Last couple of days I've noticed my stomach bloat up but I'm still hungry.

Has anyone had anything when it bleeds a lot then doesn't for a month or so??

(I've tried therapy for anxiety but it was useless).

Thanks everyone!

Hey Bryan, no it's on Thursday. I'm getting worried they'll find something, not helping with new pains in my lower abdo.

How do you know when to get checked for CRC if you have the same symptoms as it!? That would be hard, I don't know how I'd cope with that.. I swear the one thing I worry about in life is my health, I wish I didn't but it's getting worse. We'll find out on Thursday, ill post back after the results

      Hey,

The results came back clear. But means I still don't know what's going on.

I've had symptoms that would suggest IBS sometimes but not all the time. I've got another appointment tomorrow, will let you know what happens then!

Ok guys, I have been reading about this a lot. I was scared to death with my symptoms. Im 31!

About a year ago, I went to take BM and after i wied my whole palm and paper tissue was covered in red bright blood. I thought it was hemeroids but I panicked a little bit. Everyone told me that this are hemeroids so I forgot about it.

For about 6 months or so, I had soft thin stools. Some times like my pinky finger also. Almost always loose. Somtimes they were semi formated, sometimes no formation at all, sometimes just liquid diarrhea with few pices of hard stool. I also have bad gases. After every meal I would fart alot and sometimes be bloated. About 4 months ago I also lost about 3 kg, probably becouse I was eating less. Then ocasionaly my bowel frequency changed. Normaly I always went 1 per day, or 1 per 2 days. Now I was every day, sometimes even 2 times or more. I kind of think that my digestion is getting better lol. Then I had some pains in on my left back below ribcage. My GM told me that is probably just a pulled muscle. I waited for 3 weeks but pains were still there. Even more If i was doing sport or something. So I went back and also mention my weight lost and my digestion problems. My GM sent me to ultrasound and send me to colonoscopy. Ultrasound was done a week lather and nothing special was found except some big cyst on my left kidney and some abnormalities with pielon (kidney). First I went to urology, all panicked becouse I thought it may be renal kidney cancer. Sometimes I had bad night sweets, mild fewer ... After few exemenations (scintigraphy, ultrasound and IVP - Intravenous Pyelogram), urin tests, blood test, nothing was found. My kidneys was just fine. I had just some kidney sand that was causing troubles.

Then I turn my focus to my bowel. The more I read on internet, the more I was convinced that I have cancer in late stages. I was almost shure that i have partial bowel obstruction becouse of my loose stools, thin stools, gases all the time ... It was realy hard. I went from doctor to doctor and nobody was concerned lol. First I did rectoscopy where they exemined my first 25 cm of my colon - rectum. Only 2 enlarged internal hemmeroids were found. One was removed. This kind of explained my bleedings. No bleedings afrer. But my other problems persisted. Thin stool, loose stool, terrible gasses, sometimes bloatig, diarrhea. No pains, just ocasionaly slight discomfort in left low abdomen. And gurling in my guts. I was almost 100% that i have cancer. Even more, becouse my aunt die from colon cancer at age of 50. She was diagnosed at 47, and my grandfather also have it. So this was driving me insane in panic. I analized my stool daily and I was obsessed. I had to wait 3 months till colonoscopy.

So finaly! Today at 10:15 I had my first colonoscopy. The night of prep for procedure was not so bad, you are just on toiled all night smile. When I came to hospital i was so nervus. Then procedure started. DR said that this is probably nothing and start the procedure. He was realy good at this becouse I didnt have any pains, none. And no anastesia also! No pain killers! Here in our country this is done without drugs. Procedure was piece of cake. I could go back right now and have another one lol.

So my diagnosis? Nothing! No tumor, no polyp, no inflamation, nothing. GI said that I have milder form of IBS I guess.

So, it is absolutely crucial that you are get your self examined if you have persisting symptoms. You never can be shure what is going on inside. But my sugestions is, dont get furstrated with all the informations from internet. Internet medicine is very scary place! And it can drive you mad! There is a great possibility that is not cancer but of corse better get checked out. I know it is realy hard to be facing this, but you must get checked by a specialist. Internet can never be your doctor or specialist. Go to your doctor! It is probabbly nothing.
