Raised toilet seat s 2 if you have toilet up and down
Proper height chair.
Long handled shoe horn
Perching stool
Shower chair
( all these should be supplied by occupational therapy. In this Hosp they referred me to occupational therapy but asked me what I needed. If it hadnt been for this forum and someone who had had the op I wouldn't have had a clue.)
Helping hand should be provided by district nurse..
Bigger panties/boxers and tracks bottoms.
Slip on shoes with good solid bottom for home.
Lace ups for hospital trainers OK.
Meals prepared in advance if living alone.
Someone to stay with you for first week If you're lucky enough .
I also got some ankle length dresses but haven't tried these out yet.
Plenty of pillows.
A tablet /smart phone great for keeping connected with forum especially during the night when everyone else is sleeping .
I'm stuck in hospital for an extra day so have time to do this.
I also have a wee cloth hanbag that I intend to have on my waist for mobile phone.
