Hi everyone, ive been suffering with quite a constant, dull pain in my testicles (mainly right one) and it sends shooting pains through my groins. Im trying medication the docs gave me but i also went for a ultrasound today to try and get to the bottom of it. my questions are.....does anybody suffer with similar symptons and what did they discover? Also, i noticed loads of red spots on my scans from ultrasound which have me worried beyond belief i really hope someone knows something about this aswell, as i what they mean etc.
look forward to getting some replies!

Since my last posting I have been told I will have to have my remaining testicle removed as there is nothing the pain management team can offer. I was told I will be on outpatient procedures and Oxycodone the rest of my life if I decide to try and save it. It has been agreed upon that the testosterone treatment would be less invasive, and easier to manage. Plus I will be able to drive once more. Oxycodone and I lose driving privileges for life. At 47 not ready for that just yet. Surgery is scheduled for this month
Merry Christmas I guess. At least I will never feel testicle pain again. They are doing inguinal orchiectomy so I will not suffer phantom pains

My GP did an examination and said that I had Epididymitis and gave me a week’s course of Cipro. The pain eased around day four but returned worse after a couple of days before finishing the course.
I phoned my GP and he thought that I had perhaps had two infections
and that Cipro had cleared up the first but not the second and gave me another antibiotic. I finished that three days ago and the pain is still increasing.
I have a urology appointment for something else in the pipeline and wonder if I should wait to see what they think.

I am sorry to hear this kind of news as I still suffer myself. My situation became even worse when my Urologist tells me he is "not comfortable" in finishing my surgeries. So now I'm forced to basically start all over with a new family doctor, and work my way back to yet another urologist in the same department. So frustrating when I personally have known all along that by simply removing both testicles I would be back at work by now fully recovered with post op testosterone treatments. The left testicle was removed via inguinal orchiectomy which by the way was my second surgery. They tried telling me all kinds of things about reffered pain and sent me to a pain specialist team. They in turn told me they had nothing for me and would not subject me to pain blocks for life that will not work anyhow or a lifetime of Oxycodone so they recommended a right inguinal orchiectomy. I then met with my family doctor who backed this solution and referred me to the department of endocrinology last week they met with me and are on board "1000 percent " with the removal of my remaining testicle. Basically saying if it hurts simply remove it. They also informed me of a lot of misinformation existing on testosterone and the treatments of testosterone. For example apply gel and then touch partner can cause a heart attack is false once the gel is dry. Your local endocrinologist can inform you on these issues. It sure was a relief to hear this that yes blood counts will be a concern but can be monitored. So I meet with urologist #2 on the 13th and will schedule my final surgery. I am told it will be much easier to manage testosterone treatments than nerve pain in the testicles. Something I knew from day one 6 months ago. I would definitely bring up nerve pains with your doctor as they thought mine was a double infection. After they thought it was torsion and also after they thought it was a hernia. I have had at least 5 different diagnoses. I wish you the best

I absolutely know how you feel. I too thought I was alone. Not even close. My pain used to dance as I referred to it....from lefty to righty to both and then again yet never in the exact same pattern. My lower back only started hurting due to all the lurching I did while in pain. Then when I mentioned this back pain all of a sudden they wanted to associate the testical pain with the lower back pain. Not even close for me as I always reminded them it was my testicles that remained the dominant source of pain. Mine were coming in at waves of about every other minute with the twisting pains and constant grabbing pains that never went below a three on the 1-10 scale. In fact all these pains increased to level 10-10 after having lefty removed. This is not meant to scare anyone, only hope to assist you in your guide of what to look out for. Mine was all tied into nerve pain, which would've resulted in Surgery anyhow. Some type of robotic surgery after the offending nerve is pinpointed and then face an almost sure event of the testicle operated on ending up dying and shriveling up requiring removal. For me this would have meant I would have endured 5 surgeries instead of the three I had. Hope this helps when you chat with doctors.

Yes I would bring this up with your Dr. They may suggest pain blocks. For some this may be the answer you're seeking. Didn't help me unfortunately. My chiropractor swears he could have been able to cure my testical pain with simple back treatments. Ahhhh no. Keep in mind I had been given 4 types of narcotics and 4 or 5 ibuprofen types, and at least 5 different steroids of which not a single one helped. I truly hope no one else suffers as I did. Pains all gone now, only after having them both removed. A few times I knew the Dr.'s didn't actually believe I was suffering as much as I claimed. That is until other patients showed concern. Hmmmm. I actually had one Dr. tell me they needed my bed for someone who needs it more than I. Lodged a complaint for what it's worth.
