So im only 21 female. I was in and out of hospital and doctors for 2 months of which they said sounded like heart attacks but confirmed they were not. I had heart episodes of a stuck of pain then suddenly tight chest then all numb in left chest face and arm sweats and shakes heat flushes even a cold sensation down my left arm. But i had in going symptoms over the 2 months every day. But i was getting random electric shocks in the back of my shoulders and i had a total of 5 major episodes (4 of them in 4 hrs!) And i could feel them come on b4 hand to the point i had to brace and was scared. BUT during an episode my chest tighten my left side face jaw neck chest went numb heat flush/cold sweats BPM.. 90.. (only on a fitness HRM) There were days i randomly lost strength in my left arm. Eventually after 6 weeks the symtoms started spreading to the right side.. then they put holter monitor on me but by then all the symptoms had started going away. Now its been 1.5 mths since any symtoms like it never happened!

Hi. Sorry to hear you are having these difficulties.

The symptoms you mention do not sound like classic SVT (typical heart rate during an SVT episode would be about 200 pm or greater). Did one of the doctors think it might be SVT?

The ER questioned it the first time i went there but didnt tell me only sent it to my doctor and since then had be doing all tests one me. Went to my doctor for holter monitor results which came up fine then said oh.. whats this and saw the ER report from 2 months ago! And it said SVT? and my doctor just decided to go with that. And said to me hes son has it if i have more episode the will have to shock my heart. Thats all he said he did not investigate the question mark at all.

I dont have private health so im not sure if thats why they dont care so much haha. But it had got to a point where i was to embarresed to even go to ER because all my test had been clear. So it made me feel nuts. It got to a point i had 3 chest episodes in 3 hours with reflux all in between and i didnt call the ambulance till the 4th one happened whilst i tried to sleep and only coz i called a doctor who hung up and called one immediately. (Through out the issues i suspected MS. But they said thats a very big process to find out so they left it)

      Hi again.

I think I'm as confused about this as you are smile

Others here might know otherwise, but I have never heard of treatment for SVT that involved something like your doctor said about "shock your heart".

From what you've said my best guess would be that you've got some blood circulation promlems of some kind. But I don't have any medical qualifications of any kind, just experience of SVT as a patient for about 20 years.

I would try to get a second opinion from another doctor, preferably a cardio specialist.

Really hope this gets better for you smile
