Thinking of having children?

I recently got married to such a great guy, and I know he wants to be a Dad and I know how great of Dad he'll be. But I know pregnancy and child birth has some complications when you have Chiari and I wanted to know if anyone could share their experiences. I have Chiari type 1, I had my first decompression surgery when I was 14 and my second decomposition when I was 21. I needed the second surgery because scar tissue had reformed the malformation and as a result I developed a syrinx which is now deflated. I haven't had any issues since the second surgery besides the occasional headache and a twitch in my left hand.

Hi Nicole I to have the CM1 I have had 2 gorgeous daughters HOWEVER at the time the CM wasn't known about? But thinking back I suffered terribly when in labour as the straining made me see stars and was so painful I actually passed out. I don't think you should put rule kids as every woman should be allowed to be a mother. But think it would be something your MW would monitor and maybe you will have to see a specialist for alternative procedures??? I'm also thinking of having another but this is also my biggest concern..

    good luck Hun xx
