I was diagnosed with "unspecific" genital herpes. Anyone know what they mean by "unspecific"?

I guess they didn't type it. There are two types of herpes virus that can infect the genital area: HSV-1 and HSV-2. It's important to know the type, as each HSV virus has different implications, so you should have the clinic do a type-specific test.
