My name is Michelle I was told that I might need a diagnostic test called a Urethrascopy. Anyone can tell me about this procedure? Does it hurt? Is a local anesthetic used? I heard it's uncomfortable is that the same as pain? Please respond if you had this test or no someone who has

Thank you

I've had this, no anaesthetic and it's not painful - so don't worry.

Hi, Michelle, this procedure is under a general anaesthetic so you wonto feel anything. May be a little uncomfortable but this is certainly not the same as pain. Hooe all goes well

      Hi Both

If this is a diagnostic test, it probably won't be with anaesthetic, but it really isn't painful at all.  If you need something like a dilation, that will be under a general anaesthetic.  Please don't worry, it doesn't take long and is not too bad at all.

      Good luck
