urgent: anybody had incontinence cured?

Posted , 4 users are following.

Before my TURP I feared only a urinary retention, but I was fully continent, Now, 3 months after TURP i am incontinent 24/7 (and cannot sleep either because I do wake up every hour to pee).

I will consult presently, but from your posts I have got a feeling that no drugs help and any procedure performed leaves the patient still in need of self catheterization before going to sleep.

So if anybody had a procedure that isn't followed by either catheterization before bedtime or going to pee every hour during the night, please share. I don't want to be a Guinea pig for urologists. Thanks!

prior to and after my turp surgery I have been taking motrin pm as a sleep aid and help me through the night. my turp operation is 4 weeks old tomorrow and I have just cut down from 2 to 1 pill a night and wake up only once or twice a night. my issue is my daytime frequency, my uro has advised me it will get better with more time. I dealt with an enlarged prostate for over 8 years, at the end I was going every 30 minutes during the day but was ok at night when taking the motrin pm.
