UTI or STI

Hi al

looking for some reassurance

couple of weeks ago I had blood in urine with increased urge to go. Went to GP and he prescribed antibiotics. He sent away a urine culture and was negative, called me to do another one once finished the antibiotics, again clear. I had no other symptoms and the ones I did have disappeared after that day.

3-4 weeks ago I had unprotected anal sex with my partner which after researching had opened chances of e-coli which can cause UTIs.

3 months ago I also had unprotected oral / protected oral from another female. I'm now concerned this has caused as STI.  No other symptoms/discharge etc.

anyone shed some light and if it is likely to be due to the unprotected anal? Co-incidence?

You don't have anymore symptom's right? Then I wouldn't worry about it, but I'd go get tests, just because you should be aware of your sexual health status.

I've had bloodim mu urine from a UTI.... It happens.

About eight years ago I had blood in my urine. This was followed up by the hospital with cameras etc. No problems found. It hasn't occurred again. Things happen! There can be infection problems with anal sex and they can be really serious. It's a risk. I suppose that by "unprotected oral sex" you mean that you didn't use a dental dam (who does). It spoils the experience. The downside is that you then can't avoid being exposed to any bugs. If there is any infection there then you may become infected. Why worry? Get back to your doctor and explain your concern. Give him/her a full report of your recent sexual history and you may well find that there is nothing to be concerned about. It's not safe to assume that your recent course of antibiotics would have cleared up any infection because not all antibiotics kill the same bugs.
