Venlafaxine 2 weeks after increase

Feel like I'm going mad was increased to 225mg 2 weeks past Friday. I feel so stressed and on edge it's unbeleivable my anxiety is through the roof and I could sleep the day away very easily. I thought by now the side effects would have gone and I would be back to myself a bit more. I'm having rushing thoughts about anything which I'm struggling to stop which I never had for ages. Is it worth sticking with medication or should I ask to switch I see my psychiatrist on Tuesday and would like some advice.xx

I has the same thing happen to me when I increased it. They told me to stop it and go back to my regular dose. Had the worst withdrawals just from increasing for 1 week. So be aware of that.

You've gotta see your psychiatrist. Medicine should make you feel better, not worse. Since it's giving you anxiety, and some pretty intense lethargy, it's certainly not helping you. Take care, try to be as relaxed as possible. You will get this taken care of soon and everything will be great again!
