Hello... I'm 35 years old & I've been diagnosed with Vertigo/ Menieres disorder. The symptoms have been coming more often & it's majorly affecting my life. I cant drive & I've been missing work due to how horrible I feel. I was also diagnosed with Sjrogrens disease 4 years ago which is an autoimmune disorder & i was wondering if it can all be because of that? I've tried the Seaband & the balance bracelet & meds like Meclizine but nothing helps & it seems like every time I have an onset it gets worse & worse. Ive also had a MRI on my neck & all they found was normal weae & tear but my neck cracks in a few places could this be triggering my vertigo? Can someone please help me in pointing me in the right direction of aleavating this dizzyness burden? Thank you.

Who diagnosed you? Did they do an MRI on your brain and have you been to an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist?

If you haven't already, I would also suggest trying a chiropractor. Sometimes a simple cracking of the neck and/or back will get rid of the pressure.

I'm sorry you are suffering so much. I had severe vertigo in 1996 and the only thing that finally helped was valium It is a vestibular nerve stabilizer and it took the edge off of the worst dizziness. I found out I had lyme and co infections one being bartonella. Lyme and bartonella can cause those symptoms. My advice is a LLMD if no other cause is found and ask to try the valium. Antivert just made me tired. I hope you feel better soon.

I was diagnosed with menier'es, inner ear virus, possibly lupus, migraines,
and all my symptoms were related to lyme and bartonella. My suggestion is see a lyme specialist (a real lyme literate MD). To find one ask on line on Lyme net or ILADS. Its important to treat early if you have it and the blood tests are not reliable. I lost 35 years of my life because all the doctors missed the diagnosis. Just be careful its ruled out, thats all. Feel better.

Start in a sitting position. Move slowly from sitting into the side-lying position that produces the vertigo, then tilt your head up to look towards the ceiling. Stay in that position until the vertigo stops plus an additional 10 seconds; then sit upright again. After 10 additional seconds, move slowly into the opposite side-lying position for 10 seconds, then sit up. Repeat this 3 times in a row, twice a day, gradually increasing to 10 times twice daily until the vertigo is gone.

The episodes are getting less, butt they haven't gone away.
I am taking Betahistine in the day and Cinnarizine at night they do seem to help.
