What this NHS letter means?

Hi everyone,

I've Done my first smear test a couple weeks ago.

Today I found this NHS letter in my inbox. I thought I would have found the results but instead it said I had been booked for a gyno procedure in a week time. No mention to any smear test results, nothing. Just this booking along with some registration papers to fill in. What's this? Does it mean the smear test wasn't ok? Thanks for your help and advice;-)

      Hi anne81411,

The day after I found a second letter in by mailbox. That was my Pap test results.

Unfortunate they found some abnormal cells called high grade dyskaryosis so they booked me in for a colposcopy (and a proper treatment if needed) I talked with my doctor and he said there is nothing to be worried about, it's something which needs to be done to avoid getting way more serious issues in the future. Don't be scared, this is all about prevention and we are lucky enough to have been given this chance too fix things in time;-)
