A cupful (100g) of cherries give you 50 delicious calories. They're fat-free, cholesterol-free and naturally low in sodium. You get a healthy dose of vitamin C from a portion, as well as some fibre and vitamin A. Most of the calories come from sugar, but this is natural sugar that is intact within the fruit, not added or free sugars.
