New, free online tool set to transform the health of the nation

The UK's leading independent health information website, Patient, has partnered with roadtohealth to launch a new, free online tool that is set to improve the health and wellbeing of the nation.

The easy to navigate tool, MyHealth, asks the user a series of questions in order to deliver a bespoke and clinically-aligned programme of advice, which can improve both physical and mental health in just 12 short weeks.

How does the MyHealth tool work?

Utilising data from extensive medical research* the intelligent system is able to plot the user in a health queue of 100 people. The person at the front of the queue will be needing urgent medical attention whilst the person at the back will have the best state of health.

The MyHealth tool then pin points the lifestyle factors which could prove detrimental to the individual's health and provides a bespoke, 12 week programme of clinically-validated advice, tailored to help the individual improve their health and wellbeing.

Along with the bespoke advice and guidance offered by the MyHealth tool, the website is also the home to more than 2,000 pages of certified** health information along with patient forums and wellbeing content including recipes, exercise tips and more.

Dr Sarah Jarvis, clinical consultant at Patient said:

''As a nation we are becoming increasingly concerned about our health and more and more people are looking to the internet for health information. It's particularly important to make sure that the public are using clinician-authored sources of information and taking reliable advice when it comes to making health changes.

''As the leading website for trusted health information in the UK, Patient is the perfect home for the MyHealth tool and a great way for people to get the support they need to make those small, simple changes that could truly change their lives in years to come.

''Seeing yourself in a health queue and truly understanding the health implications of continuing to lead an unhealthy lifestyle is a real wakeup call. By setting achievable, realistic goals and tracking your progress online, it has never been easier to look after your health.''
