Dance Movement Therapy uses expressive movement and dance to help people of all ages with a range of emotional, psychological, physical, social and cognitive difficulties. The Association for Dance Movement Therapy UK (ADMPUK) develops communication amongst dance movement therapists, administers a registration scheme and professional code of conduct, supports and encourages research, students, practitioners and promotes dance movement therapy in education, social and health services, and the community at large. The association works with the other arts therapies (music, drama, art) in the UK and is active in the continuing development of a European dance movement therapy network and progressive international sharing.
The website gives information on the association and its activities. A register of dance movement therapy practitioners as endorsed by the Association is available to the public by contacting the above address.
