5. Don't eat if you aren't hungry


Lots of us eat when we are bored or stressed or upset. Before you stuff something in your mouth, stop to think if you are actually hungry or if you are eating for the wrong reasons. Symptoms of hunger aren't always the reasons some of us decide to eat. Physical hunger takes time to develop and you'll experience it in the stomach, while emotionally-triggered hunger (caused by stress or other factors) may be instant and generated by your mind.
