Healthy lunch box fixes

2. Think thin

Most supermarkets now sell 'thins' which are basically one slice of bread split in half. These are great for kids and adults as they help to create a better ratio between bread and filling.

They also support the balanced plate concept as two normal sized slices of bread would count as two portions, whereas a thin counts as one.

They freeze brilliantly and if you make your sandwiches in the morning (or even better the night before), they will be defrosted and ready to be enjoyed by lunch time. If you don't want to buy 'thins' you can just use one slice of bread and cut it in half.
