Anti-bullying action: How to help your child

Bullying: warning signs to look out for

Your child could come home with unexplained injury or bruising.

They may become withdrawn, communicate with you less than normal or choose to spend more time alone.

Their sleeping and eating patterns may change.

They may start complaining of headaches or stomach aches which could be symptomatic of anxiety or fear.

Their academic performance may suffer or they may start trying to avoid attending school altogether.

It's important to rule out any other causes for this behaviour. Have you recently moved to a new area? Is there a new baby on the way?
