With summer upon us bbq season is in the air but if your first thoughts are fat laden, high calorie foods think again, there are plenty of healthy, low fat foods you can choose. This tasty turkey burger gives you a lower fat alternative to a typical beef burger and adds to your five a day.

400g of minced turkey
1 chopped onion
1 egg
1 tsp of mixed herbs
1 pinch of black pepper
2 slices of bread blended into breadcrumbs
4 tsp of mango chutney
Mixed salad leaves
2 tomatoes, sliced
4 burger baps

1. Combine the minced turkey, finely chopped onion, egg, seasoning and breadcrumbs together and mix well.
2. Shape handfuls of the mixture into burgers and then cook under a pre-heated grill or on the bbq for around 8 minutes on each side, until no longer pink in the middle.
3. Place in the toasted burger baps with mango chutney, fresh salad leaves, sliced tomatoes and serve.
