12 weeks post TAH

Hi im 12 weeks post tah, with salpingo ooperectomy, i had my left ovary and tube out a year ago and the other one with hysterectomy, i am still suffering with a lot of swelling and quite tender around the scar, my right side can get really painfull and i keep getting a sharp shooting pain on this side and a dull ache in my stomach most of the day, also by the end of the day my stomach is really swollon and very tender to touch.

I was wondering if anybody else had the same issues? Or knows what it might be? I have been to the docs who just said he will refer me back to the hospital.

    Hi Lisa i had a full hysterectomy on the 12th Sep and im the same,Why did you have to have a hysterectomy Lisa xxx

      Hi, I had it for endo although when they did it they didn't find much they said I had adhesions. I have had 3 laps in the past to burn off endo and major surgery last year to have my left ovary and tube out as i had some cysts . mine was the 10th october xx

    i am only 8 weeks post op but my belly it tender on the right side. and my belly keeps swelling when i have been for a walk or i do stuff around the house. I hope the pain does start to settle down for you.

    You should get your docter to see if you have an infection. Iam 7 weeks 4 days ans feel the same as you do. Iam starting hrt tomorrow for my hot flushes and my bones hurt boobs. And can not sleep. But I seen my Dr Who did my op today and he  said the tummy will be like that for some time. And where I had the pain on my left side and lower left back pain was just bone ans that's why Iam going on hrt. Iam gling back work on my 12th week and was hoping I would feel alot better. Not sure if you have an infection. I had 2 in the last 7 weeks. And you do get more pain

      Hi, my doc just said he would refer me didn't say what it might be, i starred hrt the day after my op but still get a lot of the symptoms, i haven't had a post op check apparantly they don't do them here! Which i find strange, I have been off work for over a year and a half with all the problems but am worried about going back but would love to.

      I hope you feel better soon i am a lot better to what i was a few weeks ago but would have thought i would be a lot better.

      I thought everyone got a post op check so they can see how your getting on. I had my post op early as i had lots of problems after my op. I would check about infection as i had two and one caused a hematoma. I am only 8 weeks but each day i feel alot better than i did the day before. When i wake in the morning i wouldnt know i had,had the op.  xx

      Thank you i will check with doctor, glad you are feeling a lot better i also feel ok in the mornings but as the day goes on feel worse. Also suffering a lot with diarrhoea hopefully will feel 100% soon, it sounds awfull what you have been through.

    Hi LIsa...

    I am at 11 weeks now... STILL getting that sharp shooting pain on side, dull ache... on and off...

    How are you doing now??
