hi All, well in 16 hours I will be at the hospital awaiting my new hips, bit scared, but hey will get through it.

Good luck to Cornishpixe and gillcat who also will be getting their new hips, I will be thinking of you both. I hope to be home Monday or Tuesday so will try and make contact then.

    Hi Kaye it is the best thing I have ever done.  I am 4 weeks post op, I can walk futher than I have for ages and no pain in that hip at all.  I send you best wishes and healing thoughts take care x Magd

    Good luck , I had my right hip replaced a week today , the op was a doddle the after bit not so much lol , wishing you a speedy recovery x

      It's great I don't have the hip pain it's just replaced with post op pain , it's hard work but worth it in the end , I am only a week out so still early days , you will be fine I am sure , I have to have my left hip done too and I am not worried about it so it can't be that bad lol x

    Hi Kaye,  14 hours to go, need to pack my case. Everything is ready. Like you feeling scared too but looking forward to the other side and a different kind of pain. Lots of love to you and Cornish. I am hoping to be home Monday or Tuesday too, probably the latter as it's Bank Holiday weekend smile Hope the traffic doesn't get busy in hospital smile/ Good Luck to both xxx

      Hospitals don't worry about bank holidays they will still send you out xx

      lol I don't suppose they do, I will come home when they think I'm ready. I have been in the QEH 3 or 4 times now and the staff and the food are lovely, and it's only 10 minutes from home too. xx

      Hi Cornish , I feel the same as you smile keep checking that I have everything scared but wanting it all over now. Bit worried that I haven't any aids at all yet because I haven't had physio class yet. But I'm sure it will all be sorted smile I too am on the morning list so hopefully it will all be over by now.. Good Luck and I'll catch you on here when we are both up to it in a few days time  (((((hugs)))) xx

      Good luck tomorrow, I am sure it will be okay and by this time in the evening you will be chatting to visitors

      Hi Gill, I'm surprised the mobility people haven't been sent round to your house with the things that need to be in place for you when you get home, raised toilet seat and chair/bed raisers.  Hopefully you will have this sorted for you before you come home.  Wishing you all the best for tomorrow
