18 days on Menstrual Cycle on Birth Control Pill

hello ladies,

I recently have been taking 0.02 mg of birth control since early November. I skipped my last cycle that was in November and within this month of December, for 18 days I've been on my cycle. I was not cramping and spotting the first week and now this week I've been bleeding and cramping so the flow has increased a bit. I did take my pill late a few times but for the most part I'm making sure I'm taking it on time at the same time. is this normal to have a cycle lasting 14+ days and has this ever happened to you while taking birth control!!
