18 with Herpes

Hi guys. I'm justseeking opinions and answers. I was diagnosed with genital herpes when I turned 18 after fooling around with a random girl in club. Since then I have only had minor breakouts but what really gets to me is depression. No one knows but I have tried and thought about suicide more times than I'd like to admit. I don't know where to go from here. I am constantly battling my own mind and it's just terrible. My parents have disowned me and I am currently working a 8-5 to support myself but I am mentally and Physically drained and when an outbreak comes it's even worse.

Hey man keep your head up it's not as bad as you think. Herpes doesn't stop you from living just gotta live cautious. You still young you have your whole life ahead of you. And if you feel like no one is there always remember god is with you through the good and bad. Stay positive and pratice safe sex. Wish u the best my friend your a champion

I've had it for 25 years mate. People suicide for all sorts of reasons, don't let this be your reason! It becomes very easy to manage as time goes on, once you understand how it operates.
Keep talking about it. I'm here mate, and others will be too. Message me any time!!!

Chase! I understand somewhat what you are going through. I have not gone to see a doctor about it but I get really "down" very often. Where I would rather drift away across the world and forget everything here. It gets progressively worse at work when I'm stuck in my own thoughts. I recommend you look into professional help. But if you decide to not do that... I would find something to just occupy your mind and keep going, as it can only get better from here

Podcasts are great. I listen to about 4-5 hours a day and actually find myself enjoying life for most of these hours.
Music is great, but you gotta pick the right music. More upper music. Atmosphere - The Best Day. Try that

sorry to hear your story. Just wanna tell you should keep calm and be strong. As herpes is a communicable disease, there're many people in the world get it. You should change your thinking about the disease, it's the best way to help you overcome stress and depression that trigger your outbreaks easily. Changing lifestyle and diet is important, eat more lysine foods, take more rest and sleep enough. Then, you should seek proper treatment that can help you treat the virus and prevent it from coming back. Have you ever treated herpes infection by acyclovir or FDA creams?
