Do you think I can take a bath yet? I am SO a bath person and it's driving me crazy. My sore back would love to soak in some hot water

Hi Stephanie, they generally advise against it until your check up. But some specialists think diferently so you could check with the specialist or the hospital. I know I wasn't allowed until I got the ok from my urogyno. It may be because some of the stiches are dissolvable. Good Luck. But a lot water bottle on your back instead. Happy healing

My discharge notes said 14 days but I left it longer, almost 4 weeks. I still have stitches dissolving at six weeks. It's a bit confusing as some women seem to be advised they can bathe immediately. If you do bath, probably best to avoid any bubbles or oils and don't linger too long. For me it was more about how I would get out! Enjoy when you do
