2 weeks post op

hi all, I'm 2 weeks post op, was feeling great, not anymore. I've started bleeding today, very severe with clots in, it's bright red blood, is this normal, I was told there would be some bleeding. Awaiting a call from doctors as to what to do, feel a fraud if I go A & E . Any help takenĀ

    I did hear of this happening to another lady on a different forum so probably normal but best to check x

    If I remember rightly it's to do with internal stitches coming away, but you would think they would warn us! How you get sorted soon x

      Thank would make sense. I agree would have helped if they told us. I wouldn't of had a panic when it started. I'm resting in bed now so fingers crossed

      Still the same. I've phoned 111 and awaiting a call back from them

    I had no blood for 9 days then it came exactly the same as you , clots only lasted a couple of days but the bleeding continued until 6 weeks , in this time I had 2 swabs done in case of infection but both came back clear so never really found a reason for it , all is fine now but it was scary at the time , doctors were never that concerned about it so it must be quite common , hope things improve quickly for you .x

    Hi Jennifer.

    You must be a bit worried about the sudden bleeding.Rest up as much as possible at least till you have had a callback from your GP.Mine has been really good with advice over the phone.Let us know how you get on.Thinking of you

    Some bleeding is normal, however I was told that if there were any clots then you need to see a doctor, don't feel a fraud if you go to A&E, severe bleeding is not normal.

    I am now 11 days post op and had no bleeding at all .Total hysterectomy lap . I have been feeling unwell past few days but no bleeding . Will this bleeding come ? Your all right though , never told anything to expect heavy bleeding even a few weeks later .
