Hi, 3 and a half weeks post laproscopic sacrohysteropexy and feel so tired and low. I was beginning to feel a bit better but shattered today and all I've done is watch TV! Is this normal? Can't believe I will be ok to work again in 2 and a bit weeks. Anyone else feel like the same?

Yes, absolutely!  3.5 weeks is just the beginning of healing and you will need much more time to feel well again.  Hang on, be patient and perhaps do some writing while you are "waiting"...

    You are not alone.

I do.... I'm 3 and a bit weeks into my recovery feeling a bit low and tired today too.  This site and the info and support on it is keeping me going.  it's a comfort to know we aren't alone.  Good luck xx

You are so NOT a wimp!  this is totally normal to feel the ups and downs post op!  I am 13 months post and I KNOW it took me 4 months to feel pretty normal again but then my husband had multiple heart attacks, was put on life support, not expected to live, but did!!!  He is a miracle for sure, but during his recovery time, I was on my feet 24/7, tending to him which did not help my healing at all.  Life is so very interesting, isn't it?!

Oh dear. I'm very pleased your husband pulled through and you are ok now. Well done you for staying strong.

These ops take far longer to recover from than we are told.Going back to work after only 6 weeks  is pushing it,I'd see if your doctor can sign you off for longer than that,at least 12 weeks post op is about the norm. Feeling shattered is very normal,I slept more after my op than at any time in my life.Rest, rest and more rest is the mantra for us ladies after what is major surgery, just because we look ok doesn't mean to say we actually are.
