Hi, new to this site and new to fluoxetine.

Curious if anyone drinks Caffeine beverages while taking it?

I read that it can cause serious side effects and so did my pharmacist.

I have noticed a difference in my mood instantly and only taking 10mg.

I was told that caffeine can cause side effects, like anxiety,, so I stop all caffeine since being on the meds

Okay, that is what what I need the medication for. I slowly stopped drinking coffee 2 months ago, only drank half a cup every other day to prevent a headache. I drink tea everyday usually no caffeine kind and a pop once in a while. I have been craving a coca cola pop.

no I haven't. I found a tea with very little caffeine in it and so far no Anxiety attacks yet. I only drink it once a day.

Something new I have been experiencing when I reached day 5 (past friday Oct 7) is, dizziness, doesn't last long but is really uncomfortable feeling and it happens in the afternoon which isn't good cause on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon my son has preschool.

Anyone else experiencing dizziness and what do you do to get through it?

I have been drinking ginger ale or a Ginger tea works sometimes.

Before I cut all caffeine out of my diet I could be driving or even walking up the stairs and all of a sudden I get this dizzie like head rush feeling that last I would saying about 3-5 seconds and then it would leave,, I was told it was anxiety but the only time this would happen if I had something with caffeine in it
