Hi ladies I had full hysterectomy mid October because of a borderline tumour in my fallopain tube. No nasties found and made a very quick recovery. Did a longish walk at the weekend 2 - 3 miles and felt an ache is both sides of my tummy, where my ovaries would have been. Since then been getting acute pain (pain may be too strong a word for it really) in my lower pelvis, short sharp pains where my ovaries would have been, scar feels tender and a bit of pain, like stitch in my sides. Should I be worried and has anybody esle had this. I have been out and about for weeks but not done such a long walk, not sure if the walk is responsible or something else going on.

Well.. I had a TAH and a 4 lb. tumor taken out.. They took it all, but left 1 ovary. Dr. said that 1 acts like 2, and I wouldn't go into menapause.. I'm glad.
BUT.. I am getting these STUPID SIDE PAINS! I get them sitting a long time, or driving, especially at work! I just went back this week, full time!
I had the pains all along the incision 2 weeks ago... BAD... they were a hot pain... dr. said it was the "nerves reattaching"... they cut through the muscle/nerves...She gav me Celebrex.. I took it for a week and 1/2... it did go away...
I have not had that pain down incision since.. BUT.. I do get that "itching" feeling.. and I know that's the healing stage. I try to lightly itch on the sides, not on the line... My line is a dark, thick feeling line... dr. said it would go down to a fine red line. I had 22 staples... quite the cut they do .. huh!?!?!
So glad it's over.. but yes... we are all still in a stage of healing. Hope you continue to heal well!
