    Dear Anne,

You need to hang on to the medication for at least 4-6 weeks. I had very awful symptoms in the first 2-3 weeks. It will fade out but you need to be a little patient. You did not mention the strength of the fluoxetine you are on. Maybe you need a dose titration. Keep me updated.

    Hi Anne,

You have two options. Talk to your doctor and reduce the dose to 10mg and see if you could tolerate the side effects. Secondly ask him/her if you could switch to Zoloft/Sertraline.

I suggest you stick to the lowest effective dose and wait for the side effects to disappear (in due time). But please talk to you doctor.

    Hi

How are you feeling now? I felt dreadful for the first few weeks. However I am in my tenth week now and I can only tell you that it gets so much better! The medication is cumulative but the side effects are instant so that is why you feel terrible before you feel better. IT WILL GET SO MUCH BETTER smile
