3 weeks post op for lap sacrohystetpexy and vagial back wall repair..

Hi just wondering if any of you have had this surgery and can advise on recovery time.... im 3 weeks post op and seem to be recovering well... however today iv had really bad stomach pains and the area around my stitches is very tender, iv bloated up really badly today and just feel rubish...

    Have you been overdoing things lee?  I think you need to probably rest more, no lifting and as soon as you feel tired stop what you are doing. Everyone recovers at different rates but for the first 6 weeks you need to take things easy and just gradually build up your exercise.

      Well yesterday i did nothing but other days i have been pottering around but only because i felt fine. But not doing anything heavy. Its just today iv been in alot of pain. So tomorrow i will rest again...... can i also ask a personal question.....? Is it normal to be a little bit smelly down their.... i keep clean but can help notice it when im at the loo.... what is it because of and will it go? Thanks matron. Xx

      You can get a bit whiffy down below. Try using a feminine was that's gynaecologically tested like Lactyacid or Femfresh from the chemist. It will go though it's just residue from the operation x

    Hi Lee,three weeks is very early days.the most time you spend resting up the better recovery you will

    Have.try and relax when you can and no heavy lifting or bending.I'm 8days anterior repair and doing well.

    Been doing absolutely nothing😁.look after yourself. Xxx

      Thanks welshgirl.... im gonna try to relax a bit more but its easier said than done........ hopefully pains will settle soon.

      You too😘 keep relaxing and all will settle down.. Our bodies are amazing if we give it time to heal💕💕
